Vera comes from the word for faith. On the wheel, I’ve learnt that clay only finds centre when you stop forcing it, and these vessels hold that.
Each one is thrown, then carved by hand and left unglazed to show the clay’s natural surface. The bowl balances on a hollow sphere, holding space for stems to emerge.
Designed for a 6cm kenzan, available separately.
Shaped slowly and intuitively, so no two pieces are the same. Colours may also vary slightly depending on light and screen.
Dimensions: 90mm W x 130mm H Material: unglazed stoneware, sealed with liquid quartz
I acknowledge the Whadjuk Noongar people as the Traditional Custodians of the land on which I live and work, and pay my respects to Elders past and present. I'm grateful to create on Country, near Derbal Yerrigan and Wadjemup — places of deep cultural significance and ongoing inspiration.
